Philip Poppek

Sinh năm 1987 tại Berlin, Philip Poppek là nghệ sỹ thị giác đồng thời từng là một nhiếp ảnh gia chuyên nghiệp. Sáng tác của Philip theo đuổi những xu hướng giản lược hóa đối tượng và chủ thể, từ đó tìm đến những trạng thái biểu đạt tối giản và không ngần ngại thể nghiệm chúng trên nhiều hình thức thị giác: hình ảnh, bản vẽ ký họa, văn bản hay các tác động vào không gian ba chiều.

Philip theo học tại nhiếp ảnh tại Ostkreuzschule (Berlin, 2010), sau đó học mỹ thuật tại École nationale supérieure des beaux arts (Lyon, 2013), tại Kongelige Danske Kunstakademiet (Copenhagen, 2015) và Học viện Nghệ thuật Thị giác (Leipzig, 2016). Anh từng nhận học bổng của German Study Foundation (2013) và tham gia chương trình Nghệ sỹ Lưu trú tại Künstlerhaus Lukas (2018).

Born in 1987 in Berlin, Philip Poppek is a visual artist and professional photographer. 

Philip’s work giving multiple ways of simplifying objects, from which to find different state of minimal expression, as well as ability to experience them in many disciplines: picture, sketches, text or writing or site-specific occupations.

He studied Photography in Ostkreuzschule (Berlin, 2010), then studied Fine Arts in École nationale supérieure des beaux arts (Lyon, 2013), in Kongelige Danske Kunstakademiet (Copenhagen, 2015) and in Academy of Visual Arts (Leipzig, 2016). He has awarded the scholarship of German Study Foundation (2013) and participated the Residency program in Künstlerhaus Lukas (2018). Selective exhibition includes ‘Ikarus‘ in Kub-Galerie (Leipzig, 2012), ‘Thought Machines‘ in Altes Refektorium (Vienna, 2013), ‚Bright Spots‘, in Sächs, Landesvertretung (Berlin, 2014), ‘Nu Godz‘ in FSC Gallery (Kopenhagen, 2015), “”Transfer, Transition, Translation‘ in Galerie Reinhard Hauff (Stuttgart, 2017)‚ and the very recent ‘emic etic‘ exhibition at Between Bridges (Berlin, 2018).
