*** PLEASE SCROLL DOWN FOR ENGLISH *** Heritage Space trân trọng giới thiệu 'Nghệ thuật & Công nghệ: Nghệ thuật như Sự Tri-nhận', một triển lãm giám tuyển bởi Katherina Huong Nguyen.

Heritage Space is honored to introduce ‘Art & Technology : Art as Insight’ – An experimental exhibition curated by Katherina Huong Nguyen exploring intersections of knowledge and art — objects and designs that are beautiful but also represent amazing technological innovations, that inspire reflection and new discoveries for the viewer, art as a powerful conduit of learning.
Too often, technology is seen as the path to the future and art as a path to the past, when in reality they are constantly intersecting, often enabling the way forward for each other. Some of our most essential technologies and engineering advancements were invented by artists, inspired by art, or built upon techniques first honed in the art realm. Carefully balanced lines, curves, and forms became the plans for engineering marvels which in turn became the foundation of societies while the study of art yields new learnings about how people lived and leveraged the technologies of their time. We find ourselves in a cyclical pursuit of knowledge and beauty through the eras.
This unique debut exhibition, curated by San Francisco based design-technologist Katherina Huong Nguyen, circles on this topic, exploring the potential harmony between art and technologies in modern day: Art as a lens to view technologies, as a facilitator of technological understanding innovation, art that leverages technology to amplify its vision and ability to lend insight, technology that scales the creative process, and/or art re-adapting technological artifacts as a new form of future communication. The talented artists in this exhibition all intimately wield technology to express their vision, expanding the limits of what can be seen, sensed, and experienced, and sometimes, even entrust the creative process to the inner machine eye. Their artworks each poses a different contemplation for the audience towards insight in three areas: insight through creativity of the machine eye and scaled computational intelligence, insight through sensory experiences and contemplation of the environment, and insight through the science of light and beauty of internal universes.
From design perception frameworks used to program AI to innovative new techniques in revitalizing old media to powerful tools re-adapted as an extension of our senses in contemplation of natural wonders – come join a journey of contemplation, curiosity, delight, and discovery across a range of bold new forms of technology art media. The artworks and interactive installation experiences hope to introduce the potential of new and old technologies for future creators, inspire appreciation for the arts as a natural sandbox to encourage technology experimentation, and encourage discussion around how we can build a future where arts and technology are more intertwined and equally cherished as fundamental to human progress.
